Treasure Hunt

Back by popular demand! In this fourth year of the Treasure Hunt, riders will again be taken on a delightful adventure around NOVA to discover some of our true community treasures: its locally owned eateries! Whether they cook up sizzling pupusas, dunk the most delicious donuts, or brew the best coffee in town, the local restaurants that keep you fueled all year round are ready to celebrate with you for this year’s Treasure Hunt.
Guided by an online event site, riders will be led to each restaurant location to gather clues to win prizes, learn little known facts about local shops, and taste delicious treats along the way. We’re excited to help residents discover new eateries in the context of this fun event and be motivated to return as repeat customers. We had 300 participants for our last ride and expect a similar turn-out this year. The ride has been designed to be flexible and social distance friendly, so that it can be done alone or with family, over an afternoon or throughout the weekend. It’s all about having fun and celebrating local spots that make Arlington our vibrant hometown!

About Phoenix Bikes
Phoenix Bikes is an Arlington nonprofit that uniquely combines youth educational programming with a full-service professional bike shop and retail store. As the only bike repair training organization for youth in Northern Virginia area, Phoenix Bikes’ free, hands-on instruction teaches youth to build and repair used bikes, provides them exposure to retail work in our full-service bike shop, and empowers them with the skills and confidence to take into their futures—all while making bikes more accessible to our community.
Through community events, affordable repairs and the sales of refurbished bikes, our shop also works to ensure that biking is affordable and accessible to all in our community—because we believe everyone should have the chance to enjoy life on two wheels! Event proceeds support Phoenix’s youth and community programs, which are offered 100% free of charge.
